From
June 11-15, if you feel like watching TV somewhere other than your sofa,
perhaps you should mosey on over to the Shanghai TV festival in Pudong. While
information on the event is scant to the point at which someone should call them
up and ask if they actually want people to come, there is a
website in
English. It has a schedule of events, though no titles of programs, ticket
prices or addresses for the different venues. The event is open to the public.
For those fans of animated TV, this year is the first year with an entire day
(Wednesday) dedicated to animated programming. Last year was a breakthrough year
for the festival as TV stations from 40 countries submitted 365 programs hoping
to win the coveted Magnolia Award.
